Skinfinity uses Soprano Titanium ICE laser technology for laser hair reduction. The system combines multiple laser wavelengths with a cooled applicator, and works by gradually heating the hair follicle while the surface of the skin is kept cool.
Because the energy is delivered progressively rather than in single high-intensity pulses, many people describe the experience as more comfortable than older laser systems. A course of sessions is usually recommended, as hair grows in cycles and only actively growing hair responds to treatment.

How it works
Laser light is absorbed by the pigment inside the hair follicle and converted into heat. The Soprano Titanium ICE applicator builds that heat gradually across repeated passes while cooling the surface of the skin.
Only follicles that are in an active growth phase respond during any one session, which is why treatment is planned as a course spaced several weeks apart rather than as a one-off appointment.
What to expect
Your first appointment is a consultation and patch test. Skin type, hair type, medical history and any recent sun exposure are reviewed before settings are chosen.
On treatment days the area is shaved, protective eyewear is worn, and the applicator is moved across the area in passes. Most people describe a warm sensation with the cooling running.
Shedding of treated hair usually happens over the following one to three weeks, and the next session is scheduled around your hair cycle.
How many sessions are needed?
There is no fixed number that applies to everyone. The plan — how many sessions, how far apart, and what each session costs — is set out in writing at your consultation once your skin has been assessed.
Aftercare
- Expect the area to look slightly pink for a short period; this normally settles the same day.
- Avoid heat — sun, saunas, hot yoga and hot baths — for the first 48 hours, and use daily sunscreen on exposed areas throughout your course.
- Do not wax, thread or pluck between sessions. Shaving between appointments is fine.
