Electrolysis
A hair-by-hair method used for grey and light hair that does not contain enough pigment to respond to laser. It is used at Skinfinity’s clinic in Bahria Town, Lahore within a plan agreed at consultation.
What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis treats one hair at a time using a fine probe at the follicle. Because it does not rely on pigment, it is used for the hairs that laser cannot target.
At Skinfinity it is offered both on its own and alongside a laser course, for the hairs left behind once the pigmented hair has responded.
How it works
A fine probe is placed at the follicle and a small current is applied to that follicle individually before the hair is released.
Session length depends on the size of the area and the density of hair, since each hair is treated separately. Areas are planned accordingly at consultation.
Safety and suitability
Best suited to smaller, defined areas. Larger areas are usually discussed as a laser course with electrolysis used for the remaining hairs.

- Is electrolysis better than laser?
- They do different jobs. Laser suits larger areas of pigmented hair; electrolysis suits individual grey, white or very fine hairs. Many plans use both.
- How long does a session take?
- It depends on the area and how many hairs are being treated. Session length is estimated at consultation before you book.
