The peel type and strength are selected for your skin during consultation. Downtime varies with the depth of the peel and is explained before treatment.

How it works
A controlled solution is applied for a set time to encourage the surface layer of skin to shed, which can improve how texture and tone look as fresher skin comes through.
Peel type and strength are chosen for your skin at consultation. A stronger peel is not automatically the better choice.
What to expect
The skin is prepared and the peel is applied and timed, with tingling or warmth being common during application.
Depending on the depth chosen, flaking over the following days is normal and is explained before you book so you can plan around events.
How many sessions are needed?
There is no fixed number that applies to everyone. The plan — how many sessions, how far apart, and what each session costs — is set out in writing at your consultation once your skin has been assessed.
Aftercare
- Pause retinoids, acids and scrubs until your skin has settled and you have been advised to resume.
- Moisturise, let any flaking shed on its own, and use daily sunscreen.

- You can accommodate a few days of flaking if a deeper peel is chosen
- Your concerns are texture, tone or congestion
- You are not currently using treatments that make peels unsuitable — this is checked at consultation
